Abstract

The contribution of John Hughlings Jackson (1835-1911) to the epileptology at the present day is immeasurable. Nowadays, the epileptology of Jackson is reevaluated. Here, we discuss it from three point: 1) jacksonian seizure and the beginning of epilepsy-surgery, 2) post-ictal psychosis and Jacksonism, 3) dreamy state and the establishment of the syndrome of temporal lobe epilepsy.
