Abstract

In the present study, we give experimental and theoretical evidences of the role of the σ* (O-H) resonance in the loss of a hydrogen atom from amino acids upon dissociative electron attachment (DEA). We have studied different isomeric forms of alanine (C3H7NO2) and aminobutanoic acid (C4H9NO2) and show the effect of the isomers geometry on the anion efficiency curve. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
