Abstract
At present, the risk factors and prognosis of sentinel lymph node metastasis (SLNM) are analyzed based on the study of axillary lymph node metastasis, but whether there is a difference between the two is unclear. Therefore, an accurate and appropriate predictive model needs to be proposed to evaluate patients undergoing sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB) for breast cancer. We selected 16983 women with breast cancer from the Surveillance Epidemiology and End Results (SEER) database. They were randomly assigned to two cohorts, one for development (n=11891) and one for validation (n=5092). multi-factor logistics regression was used to distinguish risk factors affecting SLNM. The potential prognostic factors were identified using the COX regression analysis. The hazard ratio (HR) and 95% confidence interval (95%CI) were calculated for all results. Multiple Cox models are included in the nomogram, with a critical P value of.05. In order to evaluate the model's performance, Concordance index and receiver operating characteristic curves were used.
