Abstract

Objective: The objective of this study is to identify important areas for improvement in the disaster management strategy and propose optimized measures to increase efficiency. Theoretical framework: The role of NI in disaster management is a way of addressing the various threats and challenges of nature in the national development process and at the national level. Method: The research methodology uses qualitative research, including interviews, observation and documentation. This method is a method used to respond to data-related research problems, which occur in interviews, observations, and document analysis. Result and conclusion: The research highlights a number of areas of optimization, including early warning systems, that improve the effectiveness and scope of early warning systems to provide adequate and accurate information on volcanic activity, enabling immediate evacuation and preparedness measures. Efforts to overcome the limits of human resources, training of soldiers and deeper knowledge of soldiers, development of a smart book on natural disasters, regular training of soldiers in natural disaster management, compliance of TK personnel in accordance with the DSPP and coordination with interested stakeholders/acting agencies. Research implications: The function of the concept is the optimal and immediate use of volcanic eruptions, so that subsequently all service forces can be used as rapid emergency responses to carry out evacuation and rescue victims of the eruption on Mount Sinabung. Originality/Value: NI involvement aims to prevent further losses, lives and property of affected people, as well as help them overcome their difficulties and avoid consequences that threaten national sovereignty and national security.
