Abstract

Catalytic reaction of syngas to gasoline range hydrocarbons was investigated over a hybrid catalyst, which is composed of a DME synthesis catalyst (CZAA) and a Pd modified HZSM-5 (PdZSM-5). The results showed that the existence of inert layer in CZAA/PdZSM-5 was beneficial to the formation of C5-C11 hydrocarbons. A 62% of CO conversion and a 66% of gasoline content in hydrocarbon products could be obtained over a dual layer catalyst system. In addition, the results indicated that the product hydrocarbon distribution was mainly determined by PdZSM-5, and the modification of Pd on HZSM-5 favors the formation of isoparaffin products at operated conditions. © 2014 Elsevier Ltd.
