Abstract

This paper is an addition to the article “Nomenclature Bets: An Innovative Computer-Based Game To Aid Students in the Study of Nomenclature of Organic Compounds” 1 by José Nunes da Silva Junior, Mary Anne Sousa Lima, Fatima Nunes ́ Miranda, Antonio José Melo Leite Junior, Francisco Serra Oliveira Alexandre, Djheyson Carlos de Oliveira Assis, and Davi JanôNobre. With the addition, the title of the new work is “Nomenclature Bets: An Innovative Computer-Based Game to Aid Students in the Study of Nomenclature of Organic Compounds-Version 2.0”, and the following authors have been added: Jean-Yves Winum, André Jalles Monteiro, and Diogo Thomas Ferreira de Lima. Since 2017, the educational game described in this Journal has been extensively used face-to-face in computer laboratories as an activity at the FederalUniversity of Ceará (Brazil) and cited by many authorsworldwide. However, from March 2020, due to the disruptionof face-to-face activities caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, professors and students could not use the game. Facing thisscenario, an online version was developed to be used remotelyby students from their homes or in the classroom. The onlineversion and the activity is presented below.
