Abstract

This essay is a political, cultural and didactic analysis of the Transmedia Literacy (TL) educational project (2015-2018). First, we described the project, evaluating its initial diagnosis, its digital media and pedagogical experiences and affiliations as well as its scope regarding the Latin American educational scenario. Then, based on a sociocultural, anthropological and historical perspective of school culture, we reviewed a series of epistemological, theoreticalmethodological and political issues that we consider to have influenced it. Our main focus is on one of the didactic proposals of the Teacher’s Kit which TL offers to teachers as an innovative guidance for digital media education. Finally, we have set out a series of general guidelines that act as alternatives, still under development, for the project proposals analyzed.
