Abstract

One of the effort to improve discipline of Vocational High School (SMK) Mahardika Malang is requiring students to attend school on time. The awareness is required students to comply with rules or regulations that apply. If there are undisciplined students attending on time in school that is being late in class, while others have started the learning process in classroom, then the late students will disturb learning process. This study will provide solutions to minimize the late students attendance recorder using QR (Quick Response) Code. With this technology, it will be very helpful in detecting students who are often attending late and able to record the data into database, so the vice principal of student department will be able to easily evaluate and monitor student discipline. The system also able to increase students' motivation to get on time. Recording the attendance of students with QR code gives some advantages to its users, both for students vice-chancellor and students of SMK Mahardika its self, students are able to easily do presence or attendance recording by showing and closing the attendance card (already installed QR code) on PC (Personal Computer) in front of school gate, so it can motivate students to attend on time. Student Attendance Recorder with QR code can be integrated with school management information
