Abstract

XXI century new pedagogy in Colombia emerged because of a national debate about the crisis of citizenship education. From ethnographic and documental recordings (2007–2019), this paper first presents the rhetorical strategy used to update that historical debate, then describes its logic by analyzing patterns and ways of doing that socioemotional schooling reveals in space-time forms. As these topics have changed symbolic understanding of citizenship, the researcher suggests they need to be considered in bodily terms, besides consuming practices belonging to glocal markets to citizenship and peaceful coexistence.
