Abstract
A total of 331 males and 196 females suffering from uncomplicated gonorrhoea were treated with spectinomycin (Trobicin) 2g. Cure rates of 97.9% and 93.3% were obtained in males and females respectively. The antibiotic was very well tolerated and side effects were almost nil - one case of urticaria.
