Abstract

Even though much of the work in which this proposition was based came from the industrialized countries, Lewis-Beck and Stegmaier (2008) revise a number of works to claim that economic voting in general also works in developing nations. It is a big review, and the conclusion is that economic voting also works in transitional democracies.
