Abstract

Two new species of Scolia (Scoliinae, Scoliini) are described from Mexico and Panama: Scolia bartletti sp. nov. and Scolia albumtenebris sp. nov., respectively. Morphological diagnostic characters are provided to distinguish the new species from other Scolia species, together with a taxonomic key to Scolia from North and Central America. This study adds two species to the known Scolia fauna in America, increasing the total to 14 species.
