Abstract

Chylous ascites is an clinically infrequent disease. With the development of abdominal paracentesis, the diagnosis rate of chylous ascites has increased in China in recent years. This review article approached the anatomy, etiology, mechanism, clinical manifestations, diagnosis, therapy and prevention of chylous ascites in order to be helpful for its recognition, and to treat the disease effectively in time.
