Tutorial: The LuxPy Python Toolbox for Lighting and Color Science

Abstract

LuxPy is a free and open source Python package that supports several common lighting, colorimetric, color appearance, and other color science related calculations that should be useful to researchers and industry professionals. This article describes the installation of the LuxPy toolbox, provides an overview of its basic design and functionality, and gives several examples to demonstrate its basic utilities using a Jupyter notebook.
