Periok-Nasi Masyarakat Kampung Segeram

Abstract

Kampung Segeram merupakan daerah muara dan sebagian besar ditumbuhi mangrove. Terletak di bagian barat Pulau Bunguran, Kabupaten Natuna yang dihuni oleh mayoritas masyarakat suku Melayu. Sumber pendapatan masyarakat Kampung Seegeram sebagian besar berasal dari nelayan kecil dan tradisional menangkap udang, menangkap ikan/karang, nelayan bidai (kelong), dan pencari kayu di hutan, dalam rangka memenuhi kebutuhan hidup keluarga. Sumber penghasilan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan hidup sehari-hari dalam bahasa Melayu Kampung Segeram disebut periok nasi. Ungkapan periok-nasi sering digunakan untuk melambangkan pekerjaan yang dapat diandalkan sebagai sumber untuk memenuhi kebutuhan sandang, pangan, sandang dan pendidikan. Besarnya pendapatan keluarga inti masyarakat desa dari usaha pembuatan calok adalah sebesar Rp. 9.477.867 terdiri dari Rp. 6.336.000 dari upah dan Rp. 3.141.867 dari keuntungan usaha. Pendapatan keluarga dari usaha pembuatan belacan adalah Rp. 6.138.000, terdiri atas  Rp. 4.224.000 upah dan Rp. 1.914.000 keuntungan bisnis. Pendapatan dari usaha calok dan belacan cukup untuk memenuhi kebutuhan hidup keluarga sehingga masyarakat Kampung Segeram menggunakan usaha ini sebagai makanan pokok mereka. Kampung Segeram is an estuary area and mostly overgrown with mangroves. It is located in the western part of Bunguran Island, Natuna Regency, which is inhabited by the majority of the Malay tribal community. The source of income for the people of Serangan Village comes mostly from small and traditional fishermen catching shrimp, catching fish/reef fishing rods, splint fishermen (kelong), and wood seekers in the forest, in order to meet the needs of family life. This source of income to meet the daily needs of life in the Malay language of Soon Village is called periok-rice. The phrase periok-rice is often used to symbolize a reliable job as a source to meet the needs of clothing, food, clothing and education. The amount of income from the immediate family of the village community from the business of making calok is Rp. 9,477,867 consisting of Rp. 6,336,000 from wages and Rp. 3,141,867 from business profits. Family income from the business of making belacan is Rp. 6,138,000, consisting of Rp. 4.224,000 wages and Rp. 1,914,000 business profits. The income from the calok and belacan business is sufficient to meet the needs of family life so that the people of Soon Village use this business as their staple food.
