Polyethylene glycol mediated facile protocol for N-Cbz protection of amines

Abstract

We have reported an efficient and eco-friendly protocol for the protection of various structurally and electronically divergent aryl and aliphatic amines using Cbz-Cl in the presence of polyethylene glycol (PEG)-400 at room temperature.
