Abstract

We have reported an efficient and eco-friendly protocol for the protection of various structurally and electronically divergent aryl and aliphatic amines using Cbz-Cl in the presence of polyethylene glycol (PEG)-400 at room temperature. The reaction afforded excellent yields with low as well as high molecular weight PEGs. © 2012 Copyright Vidavalur Siddaiah, Gajula Mahaboob Basha, Rayavarapu Srinuvasarao and Vasantha Yessayya.
