Abstract

The aim of this research is to provide an instrument that will make it possible to know and analyze the degree of environmental literacy in initial teacher training in early childhood and primary education. For this purpose, a design process has been followed, after reviewing the existing literature on the field and validating it through an expert judgement and pilot test, which results in a questionnaire called Environmental Dimensions Questionnaire (EDC), consisting of three dimensions: knowledge and skills, attitudes and emotions and behaviours, 9 categories, 13 subcategories and 75 items. We consider it a reliable, consistent, clear and relevant instrument that fulfils the main goal proposed in the current ecosocial crisis situation.
