Abstract

With more than 1 billion users on the planet and more than 7.8 million users in Romania, the social network Facebook enjoys great popularity, mainly among people under the age of 35. This paper present s the results of a study conducted among students in Timișoara regarding the place, importance and role Facebook has in everyday life.
