Abstract

Artificial intelligence, as an emerging technology, is of great significance to the green development of enterprises. This study used a double difference model to quantitatively analyze the role of AI on corporate green innovation and found that AI significantly promotes corporate green innovation. In addition, this study sequentially conducted a parallel trend test and a placebo test to examine the validity of the double difference model. Finally, this study utilized the propensity score matching method, replacement of explanatory variables with reduced sample method to examine the robustness of the findings. This study conducted a quasi-natural experiment utilizing the AI pilot zone policy to test how AI can enterprise green development and provide empirical evidence to promote high-quality enterprise development.
