Testing The Effect Analgesics of Kenikir Leaf Ethanol Extract (Cosmos caudatus Kunth) on Mice (Mus musculus). Kenikir (Cosmos caudatus Kunth) is a vegetable type plant in Indonesia. Kenikir is a tropical plant member of the Asteraceae tribe native to Central America and other tropical climates. This study aims to find out whether the administration of kenikir leaf extract (Cosmos caudatus Kunth) can provide an analgesic effect on mice (Mus musculus) and to determine the most effective dose of kenikir leaf extract (Cosmos caudatus Kunth) in male mice (Mus musculus) as analgesic. The smoothed simplicia was extracted using the maceration method using 96% ethanol solvent. The test animals used in this study were 25 mice divided into 5 treatment groups, namely positive control of paracetamol 500 mg / kgBB, negative control of Na-CMC 1%, control of kenikir leaf extract dose 150 mg / kgBB, control of kenikir leaf extract dose 300 mg / kgBB, and control of kenikir leaf extract dose 600 mg / kgBB. The results of the Shapiro Wilk normality test showed that the data was normally distributed with p>0.05, so that the test could be continued using a parametric test using One Way ANOVA. Based on Multivariate Tests, it shows a significant value obtained by a value of 0.027; 0,042; 0,048; 0.034 and 0.002 or p<0.05 which aim to find out the difference between F1, F2, F3 negative control and positive control. The results showed that kenikir leaf extract dose 150 mg / kgBB has the most effective preparation that provides as an analgesic test.
