Abstract
The use of digital tools can enhance highly relevant skills and strategies in mathematics such as real -world problem solving. GeoGebra software allows students to learn abstract subjects, such as geometry, algebra and calculus interactively. The purpose of this study is to identify the role of Geogebra software in mathematics education. The study discussed in this paper is a systematic literature review (SLR) related to the role of Geogebra software in student achievement for mathematics learning that has been published within the last 5 years. This study used the Preferred Reporting Items protocol for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyzes (PRISMA) to analyze articles from the Web of Science (WoS) and Scopus. The findings of the study indicate that most of the articles use a quantitative approach. The findings of the study based on country show that Malaysia does the most research related to Geogebra software in mathematics education. In addition, the findings of the study also show that the use of Geogebra software can improve achievement, conceptual understanding, motivation, visualization skills, engagement, interest, critical thinking ability, mathematical reasoning and problem solving.
