Abstract

Conservation of energy is very important factor in economic and financial development of country. Refrigeration system utilizes enormous amount and lost from refrigerator is also a major concern which ultimately rejected to atmosphere causing rise in temperature. On the other hand electricity is consumed to heat water. So it is necessary to utilize this rejected heat. In this paper the extracted heat from refrigeration is used to heat water by utilizing water cooled condenser without affecting COP of the system. The setup is installed on domestic refrigerator containing condensing coil, temperature sensors for reading and insulated tank attached to domestic refrigerator as it is widely used in almost every house.
