Abstract
Highlights of technical sessions held at Silktech India '94, the first silk technology and machinery exhibition, Bangalore, October 1994, are summarized. Seven sessions covered quality aspects, chemical processing of silk, twisting and weaving of silk, silk yarn manufacture, marketing of silk products, economic liberalization in India and the development of entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial opportunities in the silk industry.
