Abstract

The development of the oil and gas industry in the Sakha Republic (Yakutia) is of great importance not only for the republic, but also for all of Russia. Major Russian projects are the active ESPO oil pipeline and the Power of Siberia gas pipeline under construction, passing through the territory of the republic. This article presents the current state of the oil and gas industry in the Sakha Republic: Oil and natural gas production by field and the state of hydrocarbon reserves in the Sakha Republic by petroleum regions. The article reveals the importance of the oil and gas complex in the economic development of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). The reserves of natural gas in the republic make it possible not only to fully meet the needs of the republic, but also to supply hydrocarbon raw materials beyond its borders. The potential of the fields and the real prospects for a significant increase in reserves allow for over 50 years to supply consumers up to 30-35 billion m3 of gas per year.
