TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN PETANI TERHADAP PEMANFAATAN TANAMAN REFUGIA DI DESA BANDUNG KECAMATAN PRAMBON KABUPATEN NGANJUK

Abstract

The use of chemical pesticides to prevent pests and diseases of rice plants in the long run will damage the stability of the environment. The government recommends using refugia as natural pest control. Refugia is a plant that functions as a microhabitat for natural enemies of plants cultivated so as to create a good preservation of natural enemies. Bandung Village is one of the local village reference offices for implementing refugia plants as natural pest control. Broadly speaking, this study intends to: (1) determine the level of knowledge of farmers regarding the use of refugia plants, (2) determine the factors that influence the level of knowledge of farmers regarding the use of refugia plants. Sampling using simple random sampling method with 38 farmers as respondents. This research uses primary and secondary data. The analysis used is descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression. The results showed the level of knowledge of farmers on the utilization of refugia plants are in a good position. Factors that significantly influence the level of knowledge of farmers in utilizing refugia plants are the level of formal education and activeness of farmers in farmer groups.
