Abstract - Objectives This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (intervention). The objectives are as follows: To assess the benefits and harms of antimicrobial mouthwashes and nasal sprays used by healthcare workers (HCWs) to protect themselves when treating patients with suspected or confirmed COVID‐19 infection. The review will also seek to address whether there is a difference if the intervention is used solely by the HCWs or both the HCWs and the patients they are caring for.
