Optimizing the role of students in developing rural economy in Indonesia through entrepreneurship training

Abstract

By being the largest archipelagic country in the world, Indonesia has unique privileges and brings benefits. However, this geographical condition is also a challenge for the government regarding development. As part of the national development project, village development is vital because it is the basis for equitable development. This study aimed to analyze the "Optimization of the Role of Students in Building a Rural Economy through Entrepreneurship Training."This qualitative library research used various books and relevant literature sources as the primary research sources. Data was obtained from reading sources such as journals prepared beforehand. The results showed that the potential of students can act as supervisors of development and agents of change for the community. In addition, students had the responsibility to become development supervisors, evaluate their success, and devote themselves to communities in remote and underdeveloped areas to explore existing potential. The improvement of Indonesia's economic development can be accelerated by increasing the number of entrepreneurs through entrepreneurship training in all walks of life. At the same time, interest in entrepreneurship benefited society by promoting economic independence and fostering robust mental development.
