Abstract

In most ocular conditions, ranging from juvenile to age related disorders, major changes in our understanding of causative mechanisms have been elucidated, and very significant improvements in therapeutical management have occurred. Practitioners in various medical specialties should be aware of this progress, and encourage their patients to keep in close contanct with an ophthalmologist.
