Abstract

In our continuous search for α-glucosidase inhibitors from plants, four new depsidones named brevipsidones A-D (1-4) were isolated from stem bark of Garcinia brevipedicellata together with known damnacanthal, scopoletin and a mixture of stigmasterol and b-sitosterol. Structural elucidations were made by spectroscopic analyses including 2D-NMR data. © 2008 Pharmaceutical Society of Japan.
