Study on Civil Engineering Sustainable Development Strategy

Abstract

Civil engineering is one of the most important production activitiesthat human affecting the natural environment. Among them, theconstruction materials production and use, engineering design,construction, use of the project after completed and removal afterscrapped and other processes have to consume large amounts of energy,and continue to produce waste, and these issues will cause significantinfluence on ecological environment. Therefore, as a pillar industry ofthe national economy, we not only need to develop civil engineering inorder to meet the needs of economic and social development, but also payattention to environmental protection, resource conservation, as well aspromote sustainable development strategies. Based on the above reasonsand understanding the concept of sustainable development and connotationrightly, the paper studies sustainable development strategy of civilengineering and discusses the sustainable development in the stage ofcivil engineering design from the preliminary design stage, technicaldesign stage and construction design stage respectively.
