Abstract

Dementia with Lewy bodies is the second most common cause of neurodegenerative dementia after Alzheimer's disease. This disease has worse health indicators, and these patients present a wide range of cognitive, behavioral and physical symptoms and signs, hampering early diagnosis and treatment. It is important to recognize the clinical features of dementia with Lewy bodies, since this will allow an adequate diagnosis and therapeutic strategy.
