Abstract

The book investigates women’s bodies, attempting to combine the concepts of self-determination, dignity and health, and highlighting the great paradox of medicine, which behind a false neutrality is instead a science that is substantially male-dominated. In this context, it explores the not yet fully developed potential of gender medicine as an engine of equality in the realisation of the fundamental right to health.
