Abstract

This study aims to analyze the development of sharia-based culinary SMEs from the aspect of products, transactions and information technology in West Sumatra. The researcher used a descriptive approach. The location of this research is in Bukit Tinggi City, Payakumbuh, Batu Sangkar, West Sumatra Province. The object of this research is related to sharia-based SMEs which are reviewed from the aspects of products, transactions and information technology. Researchers conducted FGDs with sharia-based culinary MSMEs, organizational institutions, financial institutions, and governments located in Batu Cage and interviews with culinary MSMEs located in Bukit Tinggi, Payakumbuh, Batu Sangkar. The findings of this study are sharia-based culinary SMEs in West Sumatra can be developed through product aspect development, namely by increasing halal certification administratively, then it can be developed through transaction aspect development, namely by facilitating transactions between buyers and sellers through financial technology and the availability of EDC machines. As well as the development of information technology aspects in order to increase promotion and income through e-commerce and social media.
