AbstractMaster of basic service techniques in the game of badminton has a very important role, because the serve has a very big influence in getting points and winning matches. Short serve is a serve by directing the shuttlecock with the second goal that is the target to the corner of the intersection point between the service lines in front of the center line. and service lines with edge lines, serves, shuttlecocks, over the net. Short serve is done in two ways, namely short serve forehand and short serve backhand. This short backhand serves to force the opponent to attack. The research aims to figure out the club's backhand service skills. PB Asjad Pontianak City. The research method used in this study is a survey method with a descriptive form. The sample in the study was 30 people. The results of the data analysis showed that there is an "excellent" category with a percentage of 0% (0 people). The "Good" category with a proportion of 44.66% (14 people). "Medium" category with a proportion of 50% (15 people). Category "Less" with a proportion of 3.33% (1 person).
