Abstract

It is reported in the present paper that sphingosylphosphorylcholine is catalytically hydrolyzed to sphingosine and phosphoryicholine by phospholipase C prepared from Cl. perfringens and that erythro-sphingosylphosphorylcholine is rather active as substrate than threo-sphingosylphosphorylcholine under the conditions used in this enzymatic reaction. © 1971, Japan Society for Bioscience, Biotechnology, and Agrochemistry.
