Abstract

Objective: To examine and identify the characteristics of aphasia therapy that are related to the quality of life of post-stroke aphasia patients. Methods: This systematic review is a search result of studies including studies published before July 2023. Studies related to the results of aphasia therapy also affect the quality of life. Results: The studies that have been identified from the database total 486 articles and found 12 articles that meet the inclusion criteria. Aphasia therapy is found in varies widely 10 types of therapy with different durations of therapy, with 2 weeks the fastest and 12 months the longest along with follow-up. Almost all types of therapy can improve the language skills of aphasic patients and there is an increase in quality of life. Conclusion: Furthermore, more aphasia therapy can be reviewed narrowly and can be applied according to effectiveness, patient and hospital capabilities. The findings of this review will support the development of widely used therapies that are effective for both communication skills and the quality of life of aphasic patients to be applied in research areas.
