Abstract

It is welcome to see a fresh approach to Cascade Range-wide studies of volcanism and magmatism, such as that of O’Hara et al. (2020). This Comment points to a misinterpretation of the published literature cited by those workers and how it might influence future studies delving into long-term extrusion rates and the relation between vent edifice volumes and total extrusive volume along the Cascade Range or other volcanic arcs.
