A Study on the Teaching Method of Melody Creation Using Minecraft Note Block

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to develop a method for teaching melodic creation by applying the note block of Minecraft as part of Game-based music learning using a virtual space platform. For this study, Minecraft was introduced along with the concept of Game-based learning. Method and process of making a note block in the Minecraft were explored, and the teaching-learning process was designed based on this. The core of game-based learning, cognition, affective, psychomotor domain, were divided and the teaching-learning process plan was designed and suggested for elementary school students to participate in games on their own and to create melodies.
