Abstract

In this work, the ceramics of Pb(Zr0.35-xYxTi0.65)O3 (Y: Mn/Ce and x: 0.00, 0.10) composition were synthesized by a systematic solid state route of mixing. Both Mn and Ce were introduced into the lattice of PZT by replacing zirconium (Zr), obeying the neutrality of charge relation (Zr+4 → Mn+4/Ce+4). The micrographs of the compounds have been taken from scanning electron microscope (SEM). Ferroelectric nature of the compounds has been confirmed through dielectric analysis. Properties such as Curie temperature (Tc), dielectric permittivity, tangent loss (tan δ) have been analysed and reported. Curie-Weiss expression has been used to calculate diffusivities of the compounds.
