Abstract

This study aims to examine the effects on job satisfaction of the following factors: (1) competence, (2) work environment, (3) competence and work environment. The subjects of this study are rice farmers in Ambengan Village. The total population of this research was 285 persons, out which a sample of 74 persons was used for this study. The research objects of this study are competence, work environment, and job satisfaction. This research uses quantitative methods. The data was collected through the questionnaire method, and later a multiple linear regression analysis was performed. The results of this study indicate that (1) Competence has a positive and significant effect on the job satisfaction of rice farmers in Ambengan Village. (2) The work environment has a positive and significant effect on the job satisfaction of rice farmers in Ambengan Village. (3) Both competence and work environment have a positive and significant effect on the job satisfaction of rice farmers in Ambengan Village.
