Abstract

The author discusses aspects of the importance of Benefit Corporation, a new business structure designed to accommodate businesses for benefiting the society. He reflects to the context of corporate social responsibility including the aspects of social enterprise and organizations with hybrid purposes. Also discussed are the shareholder wealth maximization norms, lack of accountability standards and the lack of transparency standards.
