Abstract

In this article we have wanted to point out some of the challenges faced today by a Church called and involved in a synodal journey. It demands from Church a much more demanding exercise of «listening, dialogue and discernment», in particular with women. «Listen and dialogue», firstly, with women in the diversity of contexts and cultures (challenge 1), and on emerging issues that affect their lives (challenge 2); and «discernment», second, of their contribution in the areas and processes of decision-making in the Church (challenge 3), as well as a necessary review of the question of ministries (challenge 4). Inescapable conditions of possibility, to move towards the future as an authentic synodal Church, from which these challenges spring forth, which we do not intend to analyze, but we do show with seriousness and responsibility, the urgency to reflect and allow ourselves to be transformed by them.
