Abstract
The paper presents some methodological strategies to deal with the study of regional cultural identities, discussing briefly Tarapaca´s and Valdivia’s cases in Chile. Starting from the general theoretical considerations of a non-esencialist approach to cultural identity, we incorporate two elements and relations: levels of regional identities and transversals identities. It concludes pointing out some new issues for a further discussion.
