Abstract

Seruggia et al. identify TAF5L and TAF6L as epigenetic regulators for mESC state. Both transcriptionally activate c-Myc, Oct4, and their corresponding regulatory networks. Detailed molecular analysis uncovers that TAF5L/TAF6L predominantly regulate their target genes through H3K9ac and c-MYC recruitment that activates MYC regulatory network for self-renewal of mESCs.
