YERLİ TURİSTLERİN GASTRONOMİ TURİZMİNE YÖNELİK TUTUMLARININ DEMOGRAFİK ÖZELLİKLER AÇISINDAN İNCELENMESİ: GAZİANTEP ÖRNEĞİ

Abstract

Gastronomi turizmi bireyleri harekete geçiren önemli bir seyahat motivasyonu sağlamaktadır. Bireylerin turizm faaliyetlerine katılmada ve destinasyon tercihlerinde, gastronomi turizminin rolü büyüktür. Bununla birlikte demografik özelliklerin gastronomi turizmine yönelik tutumlar üzerinde belirleyici olduğu görülmektedir. Bu araştırma, yerli turistlerin Gaziantep’in gastronomi turizmine yönelik tutumlarının belirlenmesi ve bu tutumların demografik özellikler açısından incelenmesi üzerine odaklanmaktadır. Araştırma Gaziantep’e gelen yerli turistler üzerinde uygulanmış ve veri toplamada anket tekniğinden faydalanılmıştır. Bu kapsamda 401 yerli turiste yüz-yüze şekilde anket uygulanmıştır. Elde edilen bulgulara göre; yerli turistlerin Gaziantep’in gastronomi turizmine yönelik tutumlarının oldukça olumlu olduğu belirlenirken, bu tutumların yaş, eğitim ve gelir seviyesi açısından farklı değerlendirildiği, cinsiyet açısından ise bir farklılık olmadığı tespit edilmiştir.Gastronomic tourism provides significant motivation that prompts individuals. Gastronomic tourism has an important role in joining tourism activities and destination preferences. At the same time, it is seen that demographic attributes are determinative of the attitudes for gastronomic tourism. The research focuses on determining of domestic tourists’ attitudes for gastronomictourism in Gaziantep and examining the attitudes with regards to demographic attributes. Questionnaire technique was used for data gathering and face-toface questionnaire forms were conducted on 401 domestic tourists in Gaziantep. According to the findings; it was ascertained that domestic tourists’ attitudes for gastronomic tourism in Gaziantep were highly positive and these attitudes varied across age, education and income levels, but they didn’t vary across gender.
