Abstract

• Wildlife–livestock conflict can be broadly categorized as either competition for resources, disease transmission between wildlife and domestic species, or predation. • Management strategies can either focus on management of the livestock or management of the wildlife. Dynamic integration of both these strategies likely provides the best solution in many scenarios. • Reducing conflict and maintaining ecologically appropriate and viable populations of wildlife and thriving human endeavors should be the ultimate goal.
