Abstract

Colitis ulcerosa (CU) and Crohn disease (CD) belong to inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD). Characteristic for the disease are remissions and recurrences, when the pharmacological treatment is necessery. Unfortunatelly, although there are instructions and the aims of treatment are precised, optimal therapeutic procedures are not well defined. Conventional methods are not effective in the most serious cases. In this paper standard therapuetic procedures and newest trends in treatment of IBD are described.
