Abstract

The article explores the advantages and disadvantages to a bring-your-own-device (BYOD) initiative of mobile learning (m-learning). It reviews design considerations for BYOD m-learning, which include file type, organization and learning nuggets, as well as language and culture, connectivity, and motivation. It also indicates that a good way to understand what design considerations are required for a BYOD m-learning course is to test it as a student.
