Abstract

In vitro studies have shown possible antiviral effects of tyrosine kinase inhibitors. In a retrospective study, we show that use of the tyrosine kinase inhibitor imatinib does not appear to reduce cytomegalovirus reactivation during the first 100 days after transplantation in a cohort of hematopoietic cell transplant recipients. © 2009 by the Infectious Diseases Society of America.
