Abstract

A corrosion inhibitor i.s an admixture that is used in concrete to keep the metal embedded in the concrete from corroding. The theory of and types of inhibitors as well as a method for evaluating inhibitors are discussed. Investigations to date are laboratory efforts. Real-life situations revealing results of inhibitors in concrete were not discovered in the literature; study in this area is needed.
